How IT University Education Can Be Game Changer For Nigeria Startups & IT Sector

RIDWAN ADELAJA, GCPM

I am excited to announce that I have been appointed as Brand Ambassador Nigeria for RiseBack, an Edtech organization in India helping Americans and Africans access affordable education through its various degree programs that include undergraduate, postgraduate, and diploma courses.

In August 2022, I received an email about the launch of RiseBack.org, I went through the press release and felt that this is one of the most interesting projects as it talks about affordable education from the comfort of your home. I messaged Dr. Tausif Malik the founder on WhatsApp and within a few minutes, he responded to me. We connected and spoke for a long time, and the more I heard the more intrigued I became, I wrote the story and published it…

In the next few days, I researched more and thought this would be a game changer for Nigeria, especially as we are moving towards services, a knowledge-based economy, and becoming the startup hub of Africa.

According to the World Bank, Nigerian economic spending would be focused on social sectors – education, health, and social protection.

I wanted to encourage Riseback.org to offer Indian University Degree programs to my fellow Nigerians to learn IT and Business.

I felt that I needed to be part of the game changer initiative and help fill education gaps, especially IT (Information Technology) and create high paying IT jobs and develop the Startup Ecosystem. As I proposed this idea, immediately Dr.Malik confirmed.

I will use my position to bring various stakeholders organizations, corporates, IT, startups, and education institutes and inform them about the benefit of empowering fellow Nigerians, especially those looking to enroll for a degree in Top Indian Universities.

Over the years India has contributed to the technology industry and it has led to the economic development of India. This has been possible due to the robust education system and it has produced successful professionals who are leading Fortune 500 companies, Nobel Laureates, Scientists, Academicians, IT Professionals, Serial Entrepreneurs & investors.

I strongly feel and believe that the time has come for Africans to rise and develop themselves and contribute back to their respective countries and the continent. Technology and RiseBack.org have removed the barriers to education, and the lack of access to quality education should no longer be an excuse in the current digital dispensation.
