Pink Hijab and team is excited to announce that we have been appointed as Brand Ambassador and strategic partner for RiseBack, an Edtech organisation in India helping Americans and Africans access affordable education through its various degree programmes that includes undergraduate, postgraduate and diploma courses.
According to the World Bank, despite rapid population growth, Tanzania has achieved relatively strong economic growth and declining poverty rates. Tanzania’s 2021 GDP was $67.8 billion, while its per capita income in 2021 was about $1,136. The broad economic policy objectives remain guided by the Tanzania Development Vision 2025 and its supporting five-year development plans. Tanzania’s projected GDP growth rate would reach 4-5% (2021 at 4.3%, up from 2% in 2020), it would be powered tourism, mining, ICT, transport, and electricity sectors driving the recovery. This growth made it the 2nd largest economy in East Africa after Kenya, and the 7th largest in Sub-Saharan Africa.
We at Pink Hijab felt the need to support and help the economy grow faster and bigger. During the Covid-19 pandemic, we met Dr. Tausif Malik who is an Indian American social entrepreneur and he was building RiseBack.org, an Affordable Edtech platform, which would connect Indian Universities with global students and professionals.
We felt that we needed to be part of the journey and help fill education gaps, especially IT (Information Technology) and create high paying IT jobs and develop the Startup Ecosystem.
We will use our positions to bring innovation, sponsors and partnership deals to benefit more Tanzanians, especially those looking to enrol for a degree in Top Indian Universities.
We strongly believe the time has come for Africans to rise, and that the lack of access to quality education should no longer be an excuse in the current digital dispensation.
